I am a creator; an artist, a designer and a creative strategist. With over 12 years solid experience in branding and product development, the root of it all was Art. I drew as a child, pursued it at school and college, going on to study Fine Art at University in South Africa. I love the process of discovering what can be developed from a blank slate. My style is largely experimental and currently inspired by botanical shapes of nature, mark-making and layering. Each piece can be a combination of oil, ink, fineliners and watercolour that embrace my style of allowing each piece to unravel, open up and grow.
I have recently returned my focus to these areas of creative development. Driven by pattern, texture and unique shapes in a combination of warm sophisticated tones and joyful colour pops, I have been starting with a single artwork and taking it on a journey into potential patterns for fashion, home and textile. I would relish the opportunity to find a role that combines my experience as a creative consultant on design and branding projects with my strengths as an artist.
